We encourage all citizens to use certified professionals when having any service work completed. To find legitimate locksmith businesses, go to the Alberta Solicitor General website. Every legitimate Alberta locksmith in Edmonton are listed there. If yours isn’t listed, they’re not certified and we encourage caution when working with these types of businesses.

Vehicle Security Professionals (VSPs) in Canada are the only independent technicians and locksmiths that have the approval of your car company to obtain the security data needed to repair or service your vehicle.You can trust the VSP program as the only data exchange conceived and designed cooperatively by automakers and the independent auto repair community in cooperation with insurance and law enforcement communities. It allows an accredited technician or locksmith to access security-sensitive information needed to be able to properly repair and service your vehicle. Fineline Locksmithing is one of three Edmonton locksmiths with this certification.

I’ve used Curtis twice for large commercial applications where we needed multiple different makes of hardware tied together with a common key system, and further into a building security system. He sourced the needed parts, modified the different hardware as required and keyed all the locks as requested. The single source saved us a ton of aggravation and the tenant was ecstatic. Needed to get my van remotes programmed. The first couple of locksmiths I called couldn’t do it. But Curtis at Fineline had no issues. Took less than fifteen minutes to get done and was ok with me watching over his shoulder. We required the attendance of a reputable locksmith at our daughter’s apartment to repair a malfunctioning deadbolt on very short notice. Despite a busy schedule, Curtis agreed to assess the situation and he arrived exactly at the promised time. Rather than suggesting an expensive new lock assembly, he said that, with new pins in the existing lock and some lubrication, it would work well again. We asked Curtis for a number of additional keys for the revitalized lock and he was happy to oblige on the spot. In no time he had the situation rectified and made some further adjustments to the receptacle on the door jam. He did not leave until the lock worked perfectly and we were completely satisfied. I told Curtis that he is a Godsend and am most pleased to provide this unsolicited review of his excellent work.

Wow prompt amazing service from the time I said hello … can you please help me ???’!!! If you are looking for a locksmith who can provide prompt service, decent price and know-how, I highly recommend you to give Fineline Locksmithing a try. My store entrance lock was broken by a burglar, who also caused minor damage on door frame as well. Most locksmiths I phoned next day told me they only fix lock and I need to find other contractor to replace the frame first before they can come in to replace the lock. I am not sure how often the door frame will be intact when a lock was broken by a burglar. And I was very frustrated after talking to a half dozen of locksmiths. My frustration was disappeared immediately when Curtis picked up my service call. He accommodated my request right away into his busy schedule. Both door frame and lock were fixed perfectly. And he even purchased a special clamp and paid a second visit for this job just to ensure the frame could be fixed properly. I was very impressed by his professionalism and could not be happier as a customer!
